One of my favorite memories: When I was a very little girl, my grandma took me to a art school. There was a display of 3 brown stuffed animal cats. We were asked to paint them as we saw them. Everyone in the class immediately reached for the brown paint… and soon, there was none left for me. But there was purple paint left… and the purple paint looked better to me anyhow. So I painted them as I saw them… purple. The teacher pulled my painting away and told my grandma who would come to pick me up that I didn’t paint it correctly. But the assignment was to paint it as “I” saw it… I never went back to that art class. 😉
